Report dog fouling

Report dog fouling

Dog mess, or 'fouling', spoils our public places and is a health hazard.

Most dog owners clean up after their dogs when they take them for a walk. We need to know where there are dog fouling problems so that we can sort them out, and take action against the people responsible.

If there is a build up of dog mess in your neighbour's garden you can report it here.

Report dog fouling in a public place

If you see someone that isn't cleaning up after their dog don't approach them, and don't put yourself at risk.

Make a note of the date, time and location. Please also get a description of the dog and its owner and report the problem to us as soon as you can.

Photos can help us with our enquiries - but don't take photos if you feel it isn't safe.

What we can do

We will clean up a dog mess problem in a public place. If you saw it happen we will investigate and could take action against the person that didn't clean up after their dog.

What we can't do

We don't deal with dog mess on private land, it is the landowner's responsibility to clean it up. We can take action where a build up of dog mess on a neighbour's garden is causing a nuisance.
