This is an exciting opportunity to join Chesterfield Borough Council as we recruit for a part‑time Assistant Environmental Services Officer to support our Environmental Services Team.

About the Role

In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety and appearance of our local environment. Your duties will include assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of:

  • Parks and playing fields
  • Landscaped areas and open spaces
  • Verges and footpaths
  • Public highways

 You will help ensure that our streets and public spaces remain clean, safe and welcoming, while delivering excellent customer service to all members of the community.

Working Hours

This is an 18.5‑hour per week position.
Flexibility is essential, as you will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis to meet the needs of the service.

A full driving licence is required for this role.
