Chesterfield on Safari will be a great day out for families featuring a mix of entertaining shows, walkabout performances and meet and greets across the Market.
The puppet animals set to appear include a lion, orangutan, baby hippo, baby rhino and baby apes.
Two large animal shows will take place at 11.45am and 1.30pm with walkabout shows throughout the rest of the day.
There will also be free animal themed face painting during the event and a safari themed trail around Main Square market stalls.
This event is part of Chesterfield Borough Council’s events programme which is partially funded through the Government’s Pride in Place programme and Chesterfield Town Board.
