Falls prevention

Our chair based classed are designed for those wanting to improve strength and balance whilst keeping active with low impact or seated exercises.

Preventing falls class

Our Falls Prevention chair based exercise class is designed to help improve bone and muscle strength, co-ordination and also improve your balance for when moving around for those feeling unsteady on their feet.
The exercises in this class also help to perform everyday tasks and reduce risk of falls.
It can be adapted to all abilities and included seated and optional standing exercises.


Classes take place at:

Queen's Park Sports Centre on Mondays at 10am, 11am and Tuesdays at 2.30pm

Healthy Living Centre on Mondays at 1.30pm

This class is free for our active fitness members, or see our pay as you go prices.


Chair based exercise

This class is designed to help improve your strength and balance, from the comfort of a chair. 

Maintains your independence, improve mobility, and increase your strength, flexibility and balance. The exercises in this class also help you to perform everyday tasks and reduce your risk of falls.

These classes also give you the option of doing some of the exercises while standing if you prefer.

Classes take place at:

Healthy Living Centre on Friday at 12.30pm
