Chesterfield Borough Council are looking to recruit sport and leisure attendants at Queens Park Sports Centre and The Healthy Living Centre.

We require motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of our team carrying out general leisure attendant duties, always ensuring customer safety, lifeguarding, communicating effectively with members of the public and other staff, undertaking cleaning duties and setting up and dismantling sports equipment in a safe environment.

Experience of working with the public and customer care is desirable and ideally you will have experience of working in swimming pools. 

We need sport and leisure attendants who will:

  • be focused on delivering excellent customer service standards
  • provide safe and effective pool supervision
  • be part of a motivated team fully embracing the council’s values
  • ensure high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained within the centre
  • support the varied programme of activities and sessions
  • efficiently communicate with other team members

A current RLSS Lifeguarding qualification is essential for this post.

You will be required to attend regular staff training sessions as part of the requirement of this post. 

This post will include shift work including evenings and weekends and bank holidays.

Available vacancies are:

  • x2 posts at 37 hours per week with key holder responsibilities 
  • x4 posts at zero hours per week, working as and when required
