This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Joiner to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. The varied role includes day-to-day repairs and maintenance, as well as refurbishment work in council homes across Chesterfield.
You will carry out a full range of joinery and carpentry work, from responsive repairs through to capital refurbishment projects. Experience of other associated trades, such as plumbing, bricklaying and plastering, would be advantageous but is not essential.
About you
The successful applicant will:
- hold an NVQ in joinery or carpentry, or an equivalent qualification
- have a positive, can-do approach and welcome the opportunity to help make our Housing Property Services team even more successful
- work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- be hardworking, proactive and able to use their initiative
- have excellent people skills and treat residents with care and compassion.
Previous experience of working in social housing would be beneficial, although it is not essential
