This is an excellent opportunity for a Plasterer to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. This varied role will involve carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance, as well as refurbishment work in council homes across Chesterfield.
You will undertake a full range of plastering work, from minor patch repairs through to the refurbishment of entire properties. Knowledge of other associated trades, including rendering, joinery and bricklaying, would be advantageous but is not essential.
About you
The successful applicant will:
- hold an NVQ in plastering or an equivalent qualification
- have a positive, can-do approach and welcome the opportunity to help make our Housing Property Services team even more successful
- work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- be hardworking, proactive and able to use their initiative
- have excellent people skills and treat residents with care and compassion
- previous experience of working in social housing would be beneficial, although it is not essential
